We took the property assessment tour with Maria in early October 2011 and found the condo that we had been dreaming of for the past several years. Our property was managed by Todd Williams with Reliable Realty (Property Management). As per our overall experience, we would have to say this full-service agency is by far the best the island has in Property Management. Once you secure a property and spend time on the island, you will totally understand what we mean. There are a lot of people who "say" they are property managers and make a lot of promises but are not kept (or even legal). Reliable Realty SRL is not like that. We have been approached by other people having alternate property management services with nightmare stories. Todd is selective as to who his management company services, and how many properties they manage (not too big, not too small). We actually bought our property from another Real Estate agency before finding out about Maria, the Broker of Sales; and we had a lot of problems. We were fortunate to find Reliable Realty and convinced them to take us on board. It really has been turn-key. They have looked after everything for us for several years now and give us detailed monthly statements with the whole breakdown of expenses and earnings. We live in Vancouver, Canada so we totally rely on Todd for looking after our property. We have confidence and trust in all their abilities. My husband, two adult children and I visited the condo over Christmas break. Everything was exactly as explained in the listing, and Todd from Reliable Realty was very easy to work with. We decided to go to Punta Cana as a last-minute whim, and he processed our request and payments within hours. He also arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, who was on time, courteous and helpful. When we arrived, we noticed that the refrigerator/freezer was not as cool as it should have been; I contacted Todd, and he sent a handyman the next day. He found the fan was not working, fixed the part and it worked fine from then on. The condo has beautiful woodwork, up-to-date furnishings, and everything you would need to cook for yourselves. The grounds were well-maintained, and we were pleased to see security in the courtyard and gate entrance 24/7. The local area is booming with restaurants, bars, and shops. There are only a few very small local markets, however, so I recommend stopping at the large grocery store on your way back from the airport. Prices at the restaurants are shown in local Pesos as well as US Dollars and European Euros, and they accept all three currencies. Bring a lot of small bills, however, because you will not receive change in anything other than Pesos. Overall, we can't say enough about our amazing winter getaway, and we all decided that we would like to make this our family's new yearly tradition!

We stayed for a week and had a great time. The condo was as advertised, clean and spacious. It is very close to the pool which is handy for getting drinks or bathroom breaks! The pool was very clean, and the water was warm, everyone we met around the pool was so friendly! The bedroom has tons of closet space. The kitchen was big and had everything we needed. It was only a short walk to the beach (5 min). Had lunch at the Beach Grill, very good food (tip: customers can use the beach chairs). We also ate at several local restaurants for dinner, and they were all good. Everything is close: a 3 min walk around the corner to the property manager’s office (to book tours) and a nice restaurant right below their office. There is a plaza about 7-8 min walk with a grocery store and several restaurants, we ate at Citrus a couple of times. Another tip: use the money exchange in El Dorado Plaza for the best rates. We paid extra when booking for the airport pickup and it was totally worth it - the driver was waiting for us with a sign, and we didn't have to worry about trying to find a taxi driver that spoke English!! We were met at the condo by Gregory from the property management company, and he was very helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. Thanks for a great stay! We will return, and will definitely recommend this condo to anyone!

Folks if you are looking to vacation, rent, buy, or sell property in the Dominican Republic then the folks at Reliable Realty DR are the ones to go see. Once you are set up, then the other half of their business.... "Reliable Property Management" are there to manage, maintain, and rent out your investment. We have been repeated renters since 2014, and believe us, no names, and no pack drill, I checked out everyone around the area! As a retired Mountie from Canada, I need to deal with people who exhibit honesty, reliability, and trust. Many local folks in Punta Cana, from shop owners to taxi drivers, will try to steer you their way, and this is not recommended. Maria knows the area and their listings in Punta Cana (Bavaro- El Cortecito- Los Corales) very well. Todd, the Property Manager and rental booking agent, and their supervisor (Gregory Perez) are the busiest, hardest working men in Punta Cana... from rolling out of bead at 5:00am for early morning checkouts, to rolling into bed at 3:00am from late night check in’s. All the Reliable Realty staff are bilingual marvels, offering great help and a wealth of knowledge of where to go and what to do. The properties they manage and/ or list for sale, are in the top 20% of desirable locations in Punta Cana and Bavaro. The team at Reliable Realty can meet all your needs. We visit there for two months each winter, and the other 10 months are stress-free knowing our pre-booked rental unit is reserved for us next year! The resorts were too much for us. We now know we prefer renting a condo! We often meet up with other retired people visiting there who want to know about the RD. or RD. I am only passing on Reliable Realty information.

Exceeding our expectations! We went online to find a rental property for a special birthday vacation with our two adult children, but little did we know we would meet two of the greatest people you would ever want to work with in the process. Our stay in Punta Cana was amazing! This condo is in the heart of the city with shops, dining and a quick 5-10 min walk to the beach. It is close enough to the resorts that you still get the tourist feeling but far enough away that you get to meet the sweet Dominican people all around you. The swimming pool is super nice, we basically had it all to ourselves. Our favorite places to eat by far were Pastrata and Vici Carlos. The waiter and owners were so nice and treated you like family. Make sure to also check out the store (forgot the name) by the grocery store; with the cute pink and green men in front of it (they are the Dominican Sun and Moon figures) we found really great stuff in there for a great price. Also, the excursion guy in BAM gave us a great price on diving to Catalina (AMAZING) and a boat trip to Saona Island (also amazing!) Take a trip to Macao Beach, it is a $20 (each way) taxi drive but so worth it. You will see a beach with no resorts on it. We went for a swim over to the little cave there and it was so fun! Gregory picked us up from the airport and took us back, he was super polite and showed us where everything was on the way, it was so convenient, and he was right on time! I can't say enough about our stay. If you go to Dominican Republic STAY HERE!

April 2 - April 30, 2023 Great condo and wonderful location. 5-minute walk to some of the nicest beaches in the world. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Would easily accommodate two couples or a family of 4-5. Well-equipped full kitchen, washer, and dryer. 2 large televisions with 5G cable and fast internet. The grounds at Sol Tropical are beautiful, with a large pool area that has lots of loungers and seating with or without shade options. There is a wonderful barbecue area by the pool that can accommodate quite a large group for outdoor dining. Very good security throughout the complex. The location is close to several good restaurants, convenience stores and local shops. Todd is a super host and will look after any questions, issues or concerns promptly. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again.

We booked through Reliable Realty and stayed for a few weeks at a nice condo within the beach-town area. We had a wonderful time! It really is walking distance to everything, which is convenient because we don't like to drive. The condo and the area were very clean. Everything we needed was there. The pool was a bit dark from all the rain but still warm. We booked fishing and zip line excursions through the property manager, and everything went great. Already thinking of booking for next year!

Costa Hermosa is a wonderful quiet little resort and the condo we rented is a perfect place to have a nice family vacation. After several All-Inclusive vacations this trip was so different. We became a part of the Dominican. It was safe and well laid out. We walked everywhere to stores, beaches, restaurants. We were cautious and did not leave the resort after dark. We were a family of four adults and a two-year-old baby. The unit was spacious, with four patios, well equipped and the Management Company were helpful and accurate. You can go anywhere in the area for a flat rate cab of $10.00. There are plenty of cabs, shuttles, and Ubers everywhere, especially to the Brand Name Shopping Plaza’s in Downtown Punta Cana. Everything there, including grocery shopping at the Jumbo, was a little way away. Grocery shopping was always fun. Prices are a little better than home in Canada on everything. Same thing for eating out. The little store two doors away has everything. People are wonderful. Beach 7-minute walk. Would we return? Absolutely. Reliable Realty, you are indeed reliable. My husband and I rented this condo for the month of February. From the moment you walk through the lobby you know you are someplace special. The pool area and its chaise islands are beautiful. An elevator will take you to the third floor. The apartment is spectacular and as described. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to make a simple meal or a feast. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated each with its own flat screen TV and ensuite bathroom complete with an ample supply of linens. The second level consists of a huge bedroom, dressing area and double shower. This apartment was immaculate, and we were not at all disappointed with it. Our son and his family visited for a week, and we did not feel crowded. The pool and grounds are immaculate and well maintained. Manuel, at the front desk, was friendly and more than helpful despite the language barrier. We do not speak Spanish. Thank you, Reliable Realty, for your welcome gift and for all your help. We had a truly great vacation!

My husband and I rented this condo for one month. From the first e-mail and the numerous ones that followed, Todd always answered very promptly and provided us with all the information and help we needed. The condo was in excellent condition, nicely furnished and excellent wi-fi connection. The room was big, the bed very comfortable and there was a huge walk-in closet. The ensuite was nice, spacious with nice fixtures. There were plenty of towels and sheets of good quality. The living room was a good size, with a nice T.V.. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed and more. We had a nice balcony with a table and chairs. We even had a BBQ, which we used a few times. The complex is gated with security guards and very well maintained. There was always someone taking care of the grounds. The pool was beautiful, and the water was fantastic. Some days, there were not enough chairs and shade was scarce, but there’s always the beach a walk away. The location was very good, close to the beaches, restaurants, shops, and small grocery stores. It was easy to get to the bigger stores by bus. It was our first experience renting a condo and it won't be our last.

We are a retired couple who, last year, rented a condo unit in Punta Cana from Reliable Realty for winter of 2021. We were looking forward to our stay again, and then Covid-19 hit the world. For several reasons, including age and health, we could not travel during the pandemic. But thanks to the efforts of Todd and Maria (Owners) we were able to receive a refund for our stay. My wife and I along with 9 other family members / friends traveled from Newfoundland, Canada and stayed at the Punta Cana Princess Resort Mar.22-29/2012. Within the last few days of researching some things to do outside the resort, we fortunately came across your Resource Guide “Getting Around Punta Cana Insider Tips”. A big help in learning how to get around Bavaro and Punta Cana. First, I must say thank you for such a wonderful source of info. It was so valuable and helpful for our group during our stay in Punta Cana!!! It is hands down the most informative guide I have ever come across in my days of researching prior to vacationing abroad (8 cruises and 4 All Inclusive resorts over the last 7 years). My wife and I would like to know if we could also arrange for a Real Estate Assessment tour, as discussed in your guide, to view some of your vacation properties that you market to individuals that are also for sale. After reading your guide, we feel that this would help us so much should we decide to buy a vacation home in Punta Cana in the future.

We had visited the Dominican Republic many times, Punta Cana one of our favorite places to vacation in, mostly staying in all-inclusive resorts with the occasional visits out to neighborhoods nearby. We always thought the Dominican Republic would be a great place to winter in when we got to planning our retirement years. We had contacted a few real-estate agents on our past trips but never really heard anything back. As luck would have it last year, we googled searched for real estate sales in Punta Cana & reliable realty seemed like a good place to start & we are so glad that we did. Maria promptly got back to us and set up a video chat to see what we were looking for & our budget, my wife & I were comfortable and at ease as Maria walked us through the different options of purchasing a property in the DR. We booked a trip to visit in December & meanwhile Maria got to work lining up properties for us to view. When we arrived, she spent an entire day driving us around to view the perspective condos & villas, all the properties we looked at were high Quality & fit within our budget. We purchased a lovely Villa, Maria seemed to know exactly what we were looking for. But It didn’t end there. There is also the Property Management & construction side to Reliably Realty, as well as personal shopping & interior decorating. Reliable Realty will take great care & attention to detail whether you decide to rent your property when you’re not using it, or just need someone you can trust to take care of it when you are not there. When we left the DR to go back home, Maria & her team got going on some upgrades that we wanted to do, a large patio in the back yard with landscaping, which turned out amazing! We were beyond pleased. Also taking care of purchasing everything we needed from furniture and some appliances to kitchenware & all necessary household items, and even decor. Most properties come fully furnished with everything turnkey, our villa had some but not all, However, with Maria’s help we were able to make it our own. Maria & her team did everything needed, and very quickly, over the course of a few weeks. We have become great friends with Maria. Her knowledge of the area is vast. She spent a lot of time taking us to different parts of Bavaro and Punta Cana. Including shopping centers, restaurants etc. She also gave us great tips on Dominican customs & culture, which would have taken a long time to acquire that knowledge on our own. A big thanks also to Todd, her business partner, Gregory who heads up the “feet on the ground” maintenance, as well as all Reliable Realty’s other business associates who make Reliable Realty a one stop shop and a top-notch organization. If you are looking to purchase a property or rent a place during your vacation in Punta Cana (Bavaro), we highly recommend you give Reliable Realty a call, or send a text or email.
