DOWNTOWN PUNTA CANA (actually located in Bavaro), is only a 15- 18 minute drive to the modern and expanding Downtown Punta Cana area (see photos).  Here you'll find the San Juan Mall, consisting of the large Sirena Supermarket, and directly next to the Jumbo Supermarket and mall.  These 2 mall areas private an array of other brand name stores, shops, and Dining.  Downtown Punta Cana additionally offers IKEA, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Hard Rock Café, a large modern Fitness Center (gym), numerous restaurants, international mail depots, salons, various specialty shopping.  Additionally, there are several entertainment/ excursion-type venues offered in Downtown Punta Cana; like the Coco Bongo Night Club, Dolphin Explorer, a large recreational sports facility, plus a huge activity park that includes a wakeboard course, jet ski course, zip lining, a large swimming pool, along with an inflatable activity center, plus… 2 restaurants.  One large restaurant inside, while the 2^nd restaurant is outside. Those dining outside inside or outside can either enjoy the viewing activities from the Tropical Courtyard patios, or as an “activity participant” of all these activities. There are often weekend entertainment events here, like live concerts and shows boasting a huge bar, dancing, and food at the BATU restaurant area.

PUNTA CANA VILLAGE AND THE AIRPORT: Only a 22-24 minute drive to the Blue Mall and the Punta Cana Village and Resort.  Approximately a 26-minute drive to the Punta Cana International Airport (depending on traffic).

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Should you want to venture to other beaches, malls, endless dining options, the active Downtown Punta Cana area, or the adorable Punta Cana Village / dining area... there are 4 easy options: UBER (very affordable), POPPI EXPRESS SHUTTLES, TAXI's, OR THE PUBLIC BUS TRANSPORTATION. Buses are available (for only 75 pesos, or $1.25 p/p one way).  Bus pickup is accessible just about anywhere with 20- 25-minute rotations. The Public buses are very safe and used often by tourist and expats, as well as our friendly Dominican locals. 

Ocean front is sold. Land a short walk to the beach is nearly exhausted. Inventory of both resale properties and new construction condos by the beach for sale is now dangerously low; meaning, property values for any condo  located within our 2 favored HGTV beach-town areas will continue to go up (not down).
